iDont Know If This Will Really Beat The iPhone
Posted: October 18th, 2009 | Author: Shaun | Filed under: Ads, New Products, Viral | Tags: droid, iDont, youtube | View CommentsVerizon has released this little viral video to create buzz for a new smart phone. The phone is apparently called DROID, and is pegged as, ” A robot sidekick that can move at light speed that could get you out of any problem and lives in your pocket.” The phone is directly positioned against the iPhone, which the video makes quite obvious. It’s supposed to do everything your current iPhone or phone doesn’t do, like take 5 mega pixel photos, run simultaneous apps, lets you type on a real keyboard and even customize. The video is a good way to get people talking about this new gadget, but going against the iPhone isn’t the best idea, which Verizon MUST know. So as just a teaser, I’m fine with this video, but it would definitely not be smart to run these ads leading up all the way to the product launch. It’s also worth noting that Lucasfilm is tied in with this somehow. Just read the copyright info at the bottom at around :22. Below is a screen shot from the product site.
