The relevancy of MTV award shows has diminished greatly in recent memory. But since Aziz Ansari has stepped up to the plate to host this years MTV Movie Awards on June 6th, it seems like some much needed life will be pumped back into the event.

Art & Copy (Trailer)

Props to PSFK.  Film maker of Art & Copy Doug Pray says:

I didn’t want to make a doc that just trashes trashy advertising. Too easy, too obvious, and why bother? Instead, granted access to a handful of the greatest advertising minds of the last fifty years, I felt it could be a more powerful statement to focus the film only on those rare few who actually moved and inspired our culture with their work. And that higher standard made me want to make a film that reflected the same kind of disciplined artistic approach that my subjects used.

Avatar Is Going To Be Incredible

Although the trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar has probably been tweeted and blogged about a million times already, I don’t care, because this movie looks like its going to be amazing. Avatar stars Sam Worthington, the guy who stole the show in Terminator: Salvation and is probably the next big thing in Hollywood. I believe it’s going to be released in 3D as well, a trend that is likely to continue in the world of cinema.  It makes the movie-going experience a whole lot cooler and enhances the hype for a film, but only works for a certain type of movie.

Where The Wild Things Are (trailer)

Where The Wild Things Are is set to be released on October 16th. The ten page book was a classic. Hopefully the movie won’t dissapoint, but from the looks of the trailer, I don’t think it will.  The song in the trailer is called “Wake Up” by The Arcade Fire.
