I saw Kid Cudi live last weekend, and because I’ve been pumping his music out of my laptop speakers ever since, I thought I’d share the new visuals for “Soundtrack 2 My Life” with you. The director reeaaally pulls all the scenes together in this quite perfectly.
Although Run This Town has been far too overplayed for it’s own good, this remix that aired right before the Super Bowl is enough to make it sound fresh again.
Now this is kind of cool. These guys just brought together two great sources of fun from childhood: Lego’s and the original Nintendo. How about the free promotion that the two brands recieve from this. The video is spreading like wildfire and the it already has over 200,000 views on YouTube.
Although it’s been over a year since Coldplay released their critically aclaimed album, Viva La Vida, the band is still putting out some great music videos. The song “Strawberry Swing” is set to be the 5th single from the album, and while it most likely won’t have much success on the charts as a 5th single, they decided to create a video that watches more like a short film than a traditional music video. The dream-like video in which a superhero seeks to save a damsel in distress from a giant squirrel was directed by the visual artists Shynola.

The shirt will cost $39 and will have code on it that lets each fan who buys it download the album online. Soundscan is actually reported count sales of the shirt as official album sales.
Let me tell you, this is a smart move right here. Not only is it giving fans added incentive to buy the album, but its also creating more profit for the artist because, as designer Jeremy Wineberg said, ” You’re bypassing the middleman, like iTunes.”
