And wow, that PSA is crazy. Like, really crazy. That probably is more memorable than the Embrace Change one..I agree…but it’s refreshing to see Embrace Change not use a freak-out tactic to get it’s message across, like many PSA’s out there do.

These ads work for me, because they send a really simple message: Microsoft IS listening to customer feedback. The second part of the message is that Windows 7 is actually a really good operating system, but you wont ever get that from an ad, because on that level ads are complete bullshit.

The rest of what you are trying to say about Microsoft’s ads, I don’t really get, but that’s probably because when it comes to computers I’m more concerned with value for money (an area where Apple fails dismally) and quality (where Apple is worrisomely inconsistent) than ads or slick designs.

If I ever use an ad to make a real judgment call on a product like you just did, I will make sure someone is there to shoot me. I hope you have someone who is there for you too.

I liked the Kia: Big Game (so cute!) and e-trade. Thought the letterman/leno was good because it was unexpected and surprising and funny because so true. I did not like the Green Police because I think that it hits too close to home. I think that is exactly where a lot of folks would like to see us go. So, green police was to big brother for me even to be funny.
