With the MLB All Star weekend in progress which included the Home Run Derby that took place last night, Nike honored Ken Griffey Jr’s legacy as a baseball player with this great commercial highlighting him as one of the greatest of all time. “Hello, Cooperstown” for those of your who don’t know is a reference to the Baseball Hall of Fame that resides in Cooperstown, New York.
If this doesn’t get you pumped up to watch the World Cup on June 11th, I don’t know what will! Very dope spot right here that features the likes of soccer football stars Wayne Rooney, Christiano Ronaldo, and Didier Drogba.
So apparently the Nike shoes you get are filled with air from Nike sponsored athletes. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to cop some Nike Air Max and try and dunk. The grunt removal system was great as well. I think today is Nike commercial day at MZ.
Some of the best football players in the world including Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin and Chelsea forward Didier Drogba have teamed up with Kobe Bryant and Maria Sharapova and others to fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa. All you have to do is wear the Nike red laces on your shoes. You can find them at NikeSoccer.com/RED. When you purchase the laces Nike is contributing 100% of its profits from the sale to the Global Fund and to soccer-based programs that help fight AIDS in Africa. Since its inception, (RED)™ partners and events have generated over $135 million to the Global Fund and that number continues to grow. Buy a pair of laces today.
In the newest Kobe and Lebron puppet commercial Kobe’s shoes literally bring down the house. The new Nike Zoom Kobe 5’s are in stores now. It pains me to post this commercial about Kobe seeing as I’m from Boston, but nevertheless it’s another great commercial by Nike.
Nike never fails when it comes to the “cool” factor. True City gives you a unique, insider’s view into what’s going on in your city. The app formulates it’s information through the knowledge and insight of tastemakers, people who are cooler than you and I and are always on top of things when it comes to where to go out on a Saturday night, the best place to go for a cheap movie, or where to find that new gear for cheap.
All of the content on the True City app is sharable; it has full social media integration and is updated in real time by real people. Even more good news…the app is free, but on the downside, it’s only available in 6 major European cities, so us folks in the States have to miss out for now.
Kobe and LeBron are back for another season of Nike puppet commercials. Their first commercial back features the mysteryof the missing LeBron Air Max VII which is the new basketball shoe by LeBron to come out. It is a to be continued commercial so you know your in for a new season.
Update – The #1 reindeer in the world, Blizten ( played by Lupe Fiasco) spits quite a good verse for a puppet in this newest Kobe/LeBron puppet commercial. We’ll see if Blizten can back up his smack talk vs. Team Santa, LeBron, and Kobe in the next installment.
